As Kid Supreme mentioned, we've gotten back together with our old band, matador, and are trying to practice and record as much as we can before our bassist leaves for the great south west. Here is our first successful effort, streaming on the band's myspace page. its called "Captured".

When the Old Becomes the New
Why hello there comrades, it's your old friend Kid Supreme. I know it's been a while since I've written to you and for that matter since anything has been written on this blog. However, I write to you today because we have some news for you all. First, I want to mention that The Bridal Shower is working on some new music and it's going to be awesome. Second, Mushmouth and I have been working on new music with what some might consider a "blast from the past" a little band I like to call Matador with our good friends David and Goliath. Now Mushmouth has been working with Matador since the beginning, but due to uncontrollable circumstances I had to leave the band back in 2006. I am now a part of said band again and we're working on brand new Matador songs as well as redoing some of the songs they had already written.
So my friends expect new music soon from Matador and then after that there will likely be more new music from The Bridal Shower before we must return to university.

Pulling An All-Nighter
Yes indeed, friends. I, Mushmouth, am pulling an all-nighter. To hopefully reset my sleeping patterns. Let us see if it works.
Not much to say, except that 'Work.' is coming along swimmingly. Expect to hear more soon, and expect a VLOG soon. We recorded one, but it was incredibly long winded. Might'n we reconsider? Verily, we have. So, soon to come.
Listening to Los Angeles by Flying Lotus right now. Listen to it sometime. Maybe make it the soundtrack to your all-nighter?
Okay, time to find out what time the sun comes up, and choose my sun-coming-up song.

A bevy of updates kind of
Mushmouth here.
What to tell, what to tell...
Well, my friends, let me first start by saying that our new album, 'Work.', should definitely be finished come the holidays. Both yours truly and Kid Supreme have been writing pieces for it, and we will record vocals when we are home on break. Tell us what you've thought of what we're calling post pop, we've been excited to write songs like this since we started making music as The Bridal Shower, and have just realized this goal.
Secondly, I saw Boris and Growing last night, both of whom were phenomenal. Growing had a third member that I did not know about, and they were very trance-inducing, in the very best way. Boris had stupendous energy, and played a long drone jam at the end of their set. I can't hear still.
Some sad news. I was in a car accident earlier this week. I, my friend Nilla, and my room mate were en route to the apartment of one of our friends, when Nilla's car was struck by a girl who ran a blinking red light (we ourselves had blinking yellow). I am under the impression that, had Nilla not turned out of the way, I would have been seriously injured. She was going at least 30, which, when coming straight at your face, is fast for a car. Nilla, thank you for moving out of the way. Luckily everybody was alright. The same could not be said for either car.
Finals, my friends. Final papers, final projects, and final exams. For the next few weeks, I will be up to my face in this nonsense. I know Kid Supreme is facing the same evil. We will stand up to these obstacles, and in less than a fortnight, we will be able to practice and write music nightly once again.
Remember that radio show we were talking about? This friday, we will be recording it, and hopefully we will get the audio in a timely fashion. When we do, we'll put it up here, for your listening pleasure.
